PKL 10 final: Puneri Paltan crowned champions after dominant win over Haryana Steelers
In their second consecutive final appearance, the Puneri Paltans, leaders of the group stage, asserted their dominance in the first half against the Haryana Steelers, leading 13-10. Pankaj Mohite of Pune made a significant impact with a four-point raid in the first half in Hyderabad.
The Puneri Paltans secured their first-ever title in a commanding fashion by defeating the Haryana Steelers in the Pro Kabaddi League 2024 final. Pankaj Mohite and Mohit Goyat led the charge, guiding Pune to a historic 28-25 victory at Hyderabad's GMC Balayogi Sports Complex.
Having dominated the PKL 10 league stages with 96 points, Puneri Paltan continued their impressive form in the final. Pankaj Mohite's early contributions of five points gave Pune a slim 13-10 lead in the first half, followed by four more points in the second half.
Sanket Sawant's tackle and Pankaj Mohite's four-point raid helped the Paltans take the lead. Both teams displayed strong defensive performances with excellent blocks and tackles. Although Haryana, led by Manpreet Singh, staged a late comeback in the first half by avoiding an all-out.
Haryana put up a strong fight in the second half with more raid points, but Pune asserted their dominance with two all-outs and four tackle points. Mohit Goyat's raiding prowess resulted in Puneri Paltans securing an all-out early in the second half, ultimately reflected in the final score.
Pankaj Mohite emerged as the top scorer for Pune with nine points, while Shivam Patare was the standout performer for Haryana with six points in the final.
Pune's Mohammadreza Chiyaneh Shadloui was awarded the season's Best Defender, while his teammate Aslam Inamdar claimed the Most Valuable Player title. Ashu Malik from Delhi was recognized as the Best Raider, and Yogesh Dahiya received the Best NYP award for his performance in the tournament's tenth edition.

पुणे के ईरानी ऑल-राउंडर मोहम्मदरेजा चियानेह शादलोई ने सीजन का सर्वश्रेष्ठ डिफेंडर पुरस्कार जीता जबकि उनके टीमकर्मी असलम इनामदार ने सबसे मूल्यवान खिलाड़ी शीर्षक जीता। दिल्ली के आशु मलिक ने सर्वश्रेष्ठ रेडर और योगेश दहिया ने टूर्नामेंट के दसवें संस्करण में अपने प्रदर्शन के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ठ नियप पुरस्कार जीता।
